Open North Sea horizon from the Yorkshire coast — expansive sky and calm waters

Our Programmes

Training for every stage of
the lifesaving journey.

Four structured programmes designed to develop young swimmers into capable lifesavers — from first rescue skills at age 8 to beach lifeguard readiness at 16+.

The Academy approach

A clear pathway.
Real skills. Real outcomes.

Yorkshire Lifeguard Academy's programmes are structured around one principle: that every young swimmer deserves a clear, meaningful next step. Whether your child is 8 and full of energy or 17 and ready for a lifeguarding career, we have a programme built around where they are right now — and where they can go.

Each programme is progressive, skills-based and rooted in the real conditions of the Yorkshire coast. We don't just fill time in a pool — we develop water confidence, rescue knowledge, first aid competence and the leadership instincts that turn a swimmer into a lifesaver.
